Greenleas Handcrafts information blog: September 2026

Hello, it is almost time for me to return to the Creamery in the Old Dairy Factory at the Matakana Market. I have had 4 months away from the market - staying warm and recreating stock and returning at last to painting. I have missed it. As I mentioned in the last Blog and will have a few acrylic paintings at the market, but I have started uploading a few watercolour paintings to this website. As I haven't painted in a very long time while I was taking care of my husband, some of the paintings are from a few years ago and some more recently. I have always enjoyed using watercolours but they are unforgiving! There will be quite a range of styles to choose from - from quiet elegant magnolias to robust decorative pieces which are guaranteed to brighten a wall. I hope you enjoy viewing them.
I will be in my corner every Saturday from 3 October 2026.

Hello Everyone, spring is here at last with welcome sun after a very wet winter here in Snells Beach. It is also nearly time for me to return to the Matakana Market and to take up my place in my corner of the Old Dairy Factory and be ready to greet my customers both old and new. I have been busy this winter sewing new stock to top up the items I sell plus a few new items just for fun - some little wall hangings with Heart appliques still in the Kiwiana theme. They could also be used as table centres or mats.

I intend to have some paintings available again after a number of years not offering any for sale. Acrylic on canvas will be available from the market, not online but I will have some watercolour paintings with mat surrounds available online only.

As always I look forward to meeting my customers from all over New Zealand and the World from 3 October 2026.
